Combi boiler
Heats your radiators and gives hot water on demand. No hot water cylinder or loft tanks, so it saves space. Best for flats and homes with one or two bathrooms.
System boiler
Works with a hot water cylinder, so several taps and showers can run at once. A good fit for larger family homes with more than one bathroom.
Regular boiler
Uses a cylinder plus a feed and expansion tank in the loft. Often the simplest swap if your home already has this older setup.

When Is It Time to Replace Your Boiler?
Boilers do not last forever. Most are built to run for roughly ten to fifteen years, and an older boiler can cost you more in repairs and higher gas bills than a modern, efficient one. It may be time to replace yours if:

Gas Safe Registered and Fully Insured
By law, anyone working on gas appliances in the UK must be on the Gas Safe Register. JR Plumbing and Heating is Gas Safe registered, and the work is carried out with full insurance cover. You can check any engineer on the official Gas Safe Register website, and you should always ask to see their ID card before they start work on a boiler.
Once the installation is finished, your boiler should be commissioned and the work notified correctly. Your paperwork, including the boiler’s manufacturer warranty details, will be explained to you before we go.

Yes. We remove your old boiler as part of the installation and leave the area clean and tidy.

Only for the time it takes to do the swap. We plan the work so that you are without heating and hot water for as short a time as possible, and we will talk you through it beforehand.
Can you move my boiler to a different room?
In many cases, yes. Moving a boiler depends on the flue route, pipework and the regulations for where it can go. We will assess it when we quote and tell you what is possible.
